It's an event, or a curse day, or a crackplot, or whatever you wanna call it.

Characters can be age!reversed, starting now, ending at your choice. Who's affected? Also your choice. What age are they sent back to? Your choice again. Go crazy here, people, really.

When does it end? Ideally after today, but make it last as long as you need your character to be younger. You can have commentspam or 3rd person prose in the comments of this post, but please make separate posts with 1st person if you want them; just remember to add the 'what:event' tag to 'em.

Haaaave fun.

[Sukey is prowling around the food court, because look! penny candies! very exciting! when she catches sight of something lurking under one of the tables. As she's in adventure mode rather than crying mode thank God, the plan is to sneak up to it like a cat--no, seriously, on all fours--until she has come close to Lien. Good sense keeps her from reaching out to pet the dragon, but she cannot keep from making the first comment, inspired much by stories she's been told.]

Are you a sea serpent?

[Lien's head snaps around on her long, long neck.]

I am not; they are simple creatures.

[Delighted face.] You can talk!

What are you, then? You're very pretty.

Of course I can talk! [The indignity.] All dragons can, even the little jades; and I am a Celestial.

[Though after a moment, the tones of confidence fade, and Lien curls herself around the table again.] I would bid you not to mock me.

A dragon! Like in stories? [Sukey sits down in front of Lien, content to give up pretending to stalk things like a cat for now.] Is it special to be a suhluh--a Celeschul dragon?

[Sukey looks confused, but doesn't respond; she has no idea what Lien's taken offense to, uh.]

Yes, there are stories about dragons, especially Celestials. A Celestial dragon is the best kind of dragon there is. [Lien punctuates this by fanning out her wings and huffing. One day she'll be able to roar :|]

Papa told me a story about dragons once! It had lots and lots of treasure. [Pause. Consideration. Lien does look like a pretty good dragon, this is a fact.] Was that a Celestial dragon?

Yes! It is especially nice to have treasure. [Lien has a sand table the emperor gave her upon her hatching that is covered in emeralds, it is her favorite thing that she owns (and coincidentally, the only thing, but shhh).]

It very likely was. As Celestial dragons are the best dragons, they also have the best treasure. [No one has ever told Lien this, but she's privately sure that it's true.]

How do you get treasure? [Can has storytime? asks Sukey, and puts her chin on her hands.]

[And then a pause, and--] Can I pet you?

By being brave, or intelligent, or both, and having a companion who is of import.

[After a moment, Lien nods her head. Strangely, this odd-looking child does not seem afraid of her; perhaps she should be rewarded by being allowed to touch a Celestial.] You may.

[Sukey reaches out and does so, trying to be gentle like Mama says you must be with the kitty.] Are all Celestial dragons pretty? Or are some of them scary?

From: [identity profile] tenthousandli.livejournal.com
[Lien attempts to show no obvious pleasure at being petted, as she knows that would be untoward. She sits in silence for a moment, thinking.] I suppose we must be frightening to some, and certainly when angry.

[And then she droops her head.] Most Celestials are quite beautiful.

Do you roar at people? That would be scary.

[She is curious and completely unaware of what she's asking.] Not all of them?

When I am older, perhaps; I cannot roar, yet.

[Lien's head is now laying on the ground completely.] No, only most of them.

From: [identity profile] sulkysukey.livejournal.com
I'm glad you can't. I don't like being scared.

Don't they look like you? [Sukey runs her hand down Lien's neck.] Or are the ugly ones different?

Date: 2010-03-07 03:28 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tenthousandli.livejournal.com
I would not roar at you; you have given me no reason to.

[Ooooh, Sukey. Lien piques her head up.] Celestials are supposed to be black. [As if this explains everything.]

From: [identity profile] sulkysukey.livejournal.com
I would not roar at you, either. [Because this is a concern.]

[Sukey considers this, and then her face lights up.] Then you are a special dragon!

Humans usually do not.

[Lien gathers her pride around her.] One could say.

But I could.

[Pets and big grins for Lien!] You must be a very special dragon. Are you the only white one?
