[event!] tiny-ification.

It's an event, or a curse day, or a crackplot, or whatever you wanna call it.

Characters can be age!reversed, starting now, ending at your choice. Who's affected? Also your choice. What age are they sent back to? Your choice again. Go crazy here, people, really.

When does it end? Ideally after today, but make it last as long as you need your character to be younger. You can have commentspam or 3rd person prose in the comments of this post, but please make separate posts with 1st person if you want them; just remember to add the 'what:event' tag to 'em.

Haaaave fun.

[Somewhere in the casino proper, Tharkay is sitting huddled in a corner, petting his bird (http://www.flickr.com/photos/boygirlparty/2567405795/in/photostream/) (he found it, so it's his) and watching it make pitiful squeaking noises.]

[Currently he's trying to curl his shirt around it to make a nest, but who knows what he'll be doing when he gets bored of this new exciting endeavor.]

[Small!Kathy, um. Stares. SHE COMES FROM A SMALL TOWN, I'M SORRY.]

[identity profile] victoryof.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
[Tharkay doesn't see her immediately, but when he does, he pulls the bird (who protests with a squeak) close, huddling around it. No stealing, okay :|]

[identity profile] i-am-ptolemy.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
[Today is thus far a day of SMALL BOYS KEEPING TO THEMSELVES, I guess. Also, I felt like it, so there.

Anyway, what would small!Ptolemy find most insanely overwhelming? Slot machines. THEY ARE SHINY AND COMPLETELY INCOMPREHENSIBLE and therefore he feels the need to try and figure out how they work. By pressing all the buttons he can and looking very seriously at the screen, and possibly being startled when it makes noise. And since he is taken from Poly, he expects to find shiny modern things. That is my story and I'm sticking with it. :|]

[Mildmay sits and watches Ptolemy for a while, not wanting to put him ill at ease. Leaning on Jashuki, he waits for Ptolemy to notice him.]

[identity profile] seenthemall.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
[You're adorable, Tharkay, but Kathy doesn't want your damn bird. SHE MIGHT LIKE TO PET IT, THOUGH. But anyway, after quite a bit more staring, she gets up her courage. Sorry, buddy. ._.]

Are you from China?

[identity profile] i-am-ptolemy.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Ptolemy eventually notices Mildmay, but it's in a very oh-hay-thar kind of way. Glance at the man with the scar on his face, blink in a neutral sort of way, go back to trying to figure out the one-armed bandit.]

[identity profile] victoryof.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Tharkay would have maybe let her pet it, but definitely not now. Trying to effect the most aristocratic English accent possible (hers is downright strange, he knows that much), Tharkay says:]

No, I am not.

[identity profile] ohmykethe.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Mildmay nods in passive greeting before going back to watch. After a bit longer at watching, he says,] Try for a septad. Odds're better, that way.

[identity profile] seenthemall.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
Oh.

[But Kathy is not to be deterred! That would be too easy, though she does frowny-frown at his accent.]

Then where are you from? You look like-- [except that didn't go over so well last time, Kathy, try again!] --I mean, you don't sound like anyone I ever met before.

[identity profile] i-am-ptolemy.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
[Ptolemy considers this bit of advice with a perplexed look and stares down at the few coins he has in his hand. And then he holds them out to Mildmay.] Which one is a septad?

[identity profile] victoryof.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Where are you from? You sound silly.

[Tharkay is still sitting, now petting his bird, which he's managed to corral into his lap. Everything's okay, as long as she doesn't give him cooties.]

[identity profile] seenthemall.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
[Cue indignant!Kathy.] Cedar Rapids, Iowa. And I do not sound silly.

[identity profile] ohmykethe.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Mildmay only points to the large '7' on an unused slot machine, refusing to take money out of a child's hand.] That there.

[identity profile] victoryof.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
You sound very silly, I have never heard anything of the like before.

[Who's imitating their father? Tharkay totally is.]

[identity profile] i-am-ptolemy.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. [Ptolemy's been kind of making this up as he goes along, admittedly, because it is very hard to perform scientific studies when nothing is in a written language or alphabet? you recognize. :| He looks down at his hand again, turning the coins over, and holds one up.] This one?

[identity profile] seenthemall.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
At least I answered your question. You didn't ever say where you were from.

[Oh, Tharkay, you silly thing.]

[identity profile] tenthousandli.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
[There is a lonely little dragon in the food court, curled under one of the larger tables, hiding from the fluorescent lights. Something smells very tasty, but she doesn't have a proper visor to get out and find it.]

[...Possibly, she could use her tail to shield her eyes? But, no, that would be undignified.]

[So instead, she waits.]

[identity profile] ohmykethe.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
No, lemme show you. [Mildmay slips a coin out of his pocket and plays a slot with practiced ease.] Make sure you land a septad. [Which, after a moment, he does.] Then it's easy to land it three times, which means you win.

[With the machine still running, he steps back to give Ptolemy room.] You try.

[identity profile] victoryof.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
[Tharkay frowns. If he says the one place, she'll make fun of him; if he says the other place, she won't believe him.]

[Quite distressingly, none of these options entail her going away :| :| :|]

England.

[identity profile] i-am-ptolemy.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
[A certain spark of understanding comes over his face as he watches Mildmay play.] Oh. Then the point is to make three--septads--appear?

[He tries, and manages a seven, a bar, and a cherry; without further scientific observations to make based off that go, he offers an earlier discovery.] The other glyphs sometimes give you things, too.

[identity profile] ohmykethe.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
Point's to make three of anything appear. It's just easiest with septads. Other stuff gets you more gorgons, though. [After a moment, he looks at the coins in Ptolemy's hand.] Or whatever those are.

[identity profile] seenthemall.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Silly Tharkay. She wouldn't do either, mostly, nor go away. >>] England? We learned about England in school! I'm going to go there someday. Did you know the King and everything?

[identity profile] victoryof.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
[Tharkay just looks down and begins petting his bird again; it seems to have fallen asleep, which means that like any child, he must wake it up.]

I do not know the king. [Though, after a moment... He looks almost prideful, and says with an air of smugness.] Though my father sits in the house of lords.

[identity profile] i-am-ptolemy.livejournal.com 2010-03-07 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Any of them must give you coins, then, if you cause three of them to appear? [Ptolemy looks at his rainbow-coloured money lol and remembers the one Mildmay played with.] Did you bring your coins--your gorgons--along with you?
